2018 Atlanta Braves Season Thread: Offseason

Snitker stayed with winkler way too long giving up 5 straight hits. Got to pull the plug when give up 2-3 and let others step up before the dam is blown open.
 
This has to be the worst first place team ever. Their record against decent teams is just terrible.
 
Yeah this one is going to be much worse than that Cubs loss. Kimbrel will make quick work of us.
 
Never seen a bullpen implode by 5 different guys in 3 innings. Every time one of them comes in they either walk the leadoff hitter or give up a hit. This game can be looked back on as a back breaker. Only one I remember as worse was the 10 run 8th to the Cubs early in the season to give that blowout away. That damn Brach 100% of the time gives up a lead off hit. Every time he comes in.
 
Bravos record against winning teams is abysmal. thankfully in NL east where we own the Phils and Nats, but anyone decent out of NL east and we are not good.
 
Will be interesting to see what the NL East standings look like after the Braves West Coast swing.
 
Fucking garbage. Best bullpen arm the rest of the way is honestly going to be the young arms they just brought up IMO. Need to use them.

This, but the team is also ahead of schedule. Or simply benefiting from a weak division depending on how you look at it... But this is obviously not a World Series contender so there's no reason to take a Nationals-style view of the year. I hope they win the NL East and experience the postseason, but either way this isn't the year, and the holes in the team are obvious (and fixable next season). They're frustrating at times but overall this is a season to enjoy the overachievement.
