Donald Pulling USA Out of Iran Deal

this is really disappointing. Why would N.Korea ever enter into an agreement with us now when Trump has repeatedly shown that the USA no longer lives up to its promises. Why would anyone trust us at this point?
 
Trump will take the world to war or make America totally isolated. He's a moron and is being used by many others.

That's not the question. The question is why would China and Russia ever back sanctions regimes they have little interest in if the USA is going to leave them holding the bag anyways. This basically torches the ability of the US to get them to the table on non-proliferation issues.

Strong arming Russia into the sanctions regime in the first place was a fucking miracle of diplomacy by the GWB administration (UNSCR 1737 in 2006 which passed the Security Council unanimously and had GWB personally on the phone with Putin right up until minutes before the vote). Undoing 15 years of backbreaking work by US diplomats and security personal to cajole, threaten, promise and beg antagonistic foreign governments to get on board is catastrophically stupid.

FWIW - vadtoy has spent most of her adult life working to get something even close to this to the table. For people like her who have turned down lucrative private sector careers to serve their country and try to keep the larger global community safe from weapons of mass destruction, this is a brutal, brutal blow.

Non-proliferation agreements are extremely difficult to bring to life in any form, and once broken are virtually impossible to piece together again. There is no precedent for anything like this. Just a staggering incident of self sabotage that will have decades long repercussions.

Try not to renig [sic] on what? We're reneging on this deal.
 
Why would they agree to anything with us if we're withdrawing from similar agreements before they ever enter into one?
 
Again, this has fuck all to do with NK (or really even Iran) in terms of the larger picture. This has everything to do with the Russian foreign service and military complex and China. We bent them over backwards for 15+ years and are now basically telling to get fucked.

This has everything to do with how the entire global community deals with the next rogue state and future proliferation issues.
 
You could pretty much call this once other world leaders started to visit to try and convince him to stay in.
