Nice acoustics.
People in desperate situations make desperate choices and I don't think locking them up in a country they came to in order to escape what is frequently a horrific situation (while also taking their kids away from them) is particularly disconcerting.
Not necessarily from their parents. Many are being used as pawns by adults who can’t prove they’re their biological children. Rachel and Larry (RJK has named his balls after them) ain’t gonna tell you that.
Does jhmd not recognize the entrepreneurial bootstrappiness of pulling yourself out of terrible situation and fighting to change your lot in life?
I would think his two parent family equals success creed would be difficult to combine with his take kids from their parents jubilation...
I know you are joking, but that is my argument all the time with Republican friends about 'our' stance on mexican/central american/south american/cuban/etc... immigration. By in large part, these are people that Republicans should want immigrating to our country. They are deeply religious, family oriented, hard working, and the kind of people that would fall in with traditional conservative values. Instead Republicans are alienating multiple demographics (most Republicans lump them together, not realizing the vast differences between the different regions) that in large part would/will vote Republican.
Republican party is committing self sabotage. Its pretty crazy. I get the secure the border talk, it makes sense, and it is is important to do. But we have to work on our path to citizenship with twice the effort to provide a path for these future Republican voters to join our nation. If nothing else, the Republican party should be focused on this out of self preservation. The demographics of this country are changing, and us old white guys are going to need a partner in order to have a voice in the future.
In recent months, Texas officials have granted permission to at least 15 immigrant youth shelters to cram in more kids than their child-care licenses allow, according to records obtained by the Observer. Two shelters have been approved to hold almost 50 percent more children. The decisions come as the Trump administration separates more and more families at the border, funnelling children reportedly as young as 8 months into government shelters.
Francis said that overcrowding can lead to excessive workloads for shelter workers and mental health specialists, who are dealing with kids traumatized by forced separation from their parents. Francis added that overcrowding makes it more likely that health and safety violations — such as those already uncovered at Southwest Key shelters — will occur.
Perhaps your friends just don’t like Latinos and don’t want them to bring their cultural perspectives to the GOP.
Perhaps you can shut up about people you don't know. Not everyone that disagrees with you is a racist PH.

Wrangor said he has those arguments with his friends, so I referenced his friends.
I'm curious what other explanation Wrangor thinks there could be.
Republicans gladly accepted the "deplorable" label. They're just acting on their beliefs.
Nielsen is drafting an order to stop separation, which is weird because I thought only congress could fix it. I guess that goes out the window when poll numbers come back.
So they're drafting a policy to stop a policy they say isn't policy.
