Not just Trump, his base loves this stuff as well. They don't care if kids are ripped from their parents or turned over (accidentally, I presume) to human traffickers. Their reasoning is simple: these people are ILLEGALS, which means they're subhuman and have no rights and deserve no compassion. I've already seen Trumpites defend this stuff on social media. They don't care, and probably enjoy reading about and watching it.

Dehumanizing propaganda is the first step in ethnic cleansing and thats basically the very first thing that Trump did in his campaign. All this "MS-13 are animals!" shit, the same thing. Latin immigrants are being detained as dangerous gang members just because they have tattoos, and then being treated like animals because nationalist conservatives pretend like there is some in imaginary fine line in how criminal gang bangers and regular undocumented immigrants are processed.
