Bryant Crawford Hiring An Agent, Staying in Draft

Crawford left Wake in the middle of the second semester of his Junior year. He didn't complete it. So he is going to need at least one and a half years to finish a degree anywhere. The summer sessions probably just compensated for the minimal loads he carried during the season. Also, if he did not properly withdraw from Wake, it will be difficult for him to return. Wake does not look kindly on those who don't bother with some of the academic niceties.

How do you know he didn't complete the semester?

not sure how brief you want but let's use randolph childress as an example. is his "degree" from wake what got him the assistant coach job or his skills as a basketball player? honest question.

You have to select a coach who didn’t get a job at his alma mater. And how do you know that Crawford wants to coach or somehow work in basketball once he’s done playing?

Circumstantial evidence. He left campus. There were no reports of sightings of him on campus after the date he declared. Wake is pretty particular about things like class attendance, like, in person. There are reports he may have dropped his classes, even though the Wake official drop/add date had passed before the end of BB season.

I also had heard that Crawford left school & that many players unhappy with Manning.

6 players leaving the program since February would seem to suggest this.

Key (definitely) and Wilbekin finished their work at Wake and graduated. Mitchell and Washington had to have finished the semester in good standing to be able to transfer.

Same.

Losing Moore sucks big league but Crawford is nothing more than an average to above average ACC player, who ends up being a net negative to his team for a multitude of other reasons. Losing Craw and Key will help the teams chemistry.

Will we suck next year? Probably. Is that Danny's fault? Yes.

This. I'm actually happy to not have to see woods and Crawford's pathetic defense ever again. I get all the gloom and doom but a starting lineup of chill, brown, mucious, hoard and sarr will be a decent basketball team. Problems will arise with nothing from the bench though.
