The U.S. Open, America's Championship.

FORMAT: Listed below are most of the golfers participating in the The U.S. Open. You need to pick 6 of them with a total value of 400 or more. Pick carefully - your team will end up "missing the cut" if more than two of your golfers miss the cut in the event! To make your selections, send me a PM with the golfers' names and point values.

SCORING: Your score will be the aggregate of your best four golfers. Since you have to have at least four scores counting, if more than two of your golfers miss the cut, so does your team. There are also "bonus points" at the end of the tournament. If you've got the champion golfer on your team, it's -5. The runner-up gets you -3, and having the third-place golfer gets you -1 off your score.

DEADLINE: All entries must be sent to me by 7:45 AM Thursday, June 16th.

LIVE SCORING: Live Scoring will not be available for the U.S. Open but I will try to post daily updates.

Do you want me to sit this one out and give somebody a chance or can I add to my already crowded mantle?

in 2004, the US Open was at Shinnecock. Only three players finished under par.

Rory was +9 after 10 holes. Speith is +5 after 10.

+10 through 11 holes now.

I'm loving it. This is shaping up to be one of those Open's where + something wins and it's struggle for those guys.

Looks like Scott Gregory from the UK may not break 90. Through 15 holes, Gregory has 4 doubles, 8 bogies, and 3 pars; +18. Sounds familiar. Course is a bitch.

Playing with Zalatoris - their 3some is a combined 36 over. Unreal.

Just got back and checked the scores. Zalatoris is getting lit up - he's +9 and almost done for the day. But some yuge names also getting lit up - Spieth, Rory and Day. Dayum.

Liveanddie, I'm not sure the entire tournament will be this brutal. It was supposed to be pretty windy today, like 15-20 mph, and coming from a different direction. This year's setup reminds me a bit of last year's. Extra wide fairways, a few yards of fairly penal rough and then hay you have to hack out of. One of the things they talked about last year was that Wisconsin typically gets a little wind, but it didn't happen at all, and they got a little rain. Both of those things contributed greatly to the low scores. If the wind dies down the next 3 days, I expect a handful of guys will be under par. But if the winds stay in the 10-20 mph range, that place will be Carnoustie brutal. But whatever happens, it just can't be effin' Ian Poulter who wins. That would be a mockery of a farce of a travesty.
