WF basketball sucked over the last 9 years even though the ACC was strong and Duke and UNC won NCs. Tennessee football has sucked for awhile and S. Carolina is mediocre again even though Bama and UGA are great. The whole conference pride deal is strange if your team is not part of that success. Sorry, but Tennessee and S. Carolina have nothing to do with Bama's or UGA's success, just like WF has nothing to do with UNC's or Duke's hoop success.

Exactly. I hear the argument all the time, if Duke or UNC does well in hoops it helps everybody in the ACC. BS, I've never seen one iota of proof of that and therefore will never pull for UNC, Duke, Syracuse or Louisville because of some kind of notion that it helps the ACC or Wake Forest.
 
ECU and State agree to play Dec 1 at noon in Raleigh as long as neither team is in their conference championship game. This game will make up for the WVU at State and ECU at VT games cancelled due to Florence.

Good for them. VT should play WV too under the same conditions (although it looks like WV may be in the Big 12 CG).
 
Sucks that WVU/State couldn’t work it out. WVU has no interest in playing after original date. Hurricane screwed so much stuff up, including the football schedules. Disappointing.

State should probably win that game big, but there's no love lost between State and ECU. Could be interesting.
Same with VT vs WVU, although that could be a very close game. Lots of rivalry there due to geography.

App State officially cancelled the Southern Miss game after having initially postponed it. Sucks as it would have been the best home game and probably best chance to score a quality win outside of Troy.
 
State gets to trade a loss to WVU for a win vs ECU which will propel them to a better bowl. Bites.

Don’t let it bother you. If Wake gets six wins they’re going to El Paso or Detroit this year.
 
Kyler Murray is really really good, and fun to watch. It is fun to postulate how his baseball career has impacted certain areas of his football playing ability. His running, cutting, and diving are great to watch. He is also completing over 70% of his passes. He would be taken a lot more seriously if his name wasn't Kyler.
 
After his performance against Army it makes you wonder how he'd perform against a real defense, which he won't see in the Big 12.

I knew Louisville was bad this year, but I had no idea they were that bad.

Maybe we can still make a bowl after all.
