what the fuck are you talking about? People losing their jobs and livelihoods does matter to me. That's why I'm a socialist.

Hopefully you don't understand, but most likely you don't care what overthrowing a capitalist model and forcing a totalitarian socialist state looks like. Also Scandinavia and western European economies are not fucking socialist/marxist, and that isn't what you have been calling for either.

Although I am a Marxist...Groucho Marxist...I wouldn't join a party that would have me as a member.

Oh you do, you might not want it, but you do. The only way to seize control production, and force equal social economic status throughout a population is through a totalitarian state.

I know, I know, I am probably just not thinking correctly, like my family members before me I am sure you can always send me away and re-educate me as to the ways of your revolution.

Ok, I will just believe in your fairy-tale where this doesn't end horribly. For the record I don't think a social democracy is evil and that it can exist in a non authoritarian state just not effectively. That isn't what MHB and the "new socialists" want though.

Detaining people in camps is not capitalist, neither are borders.

Fair trade, tariffs, and strong borders are populist ideals to artificially protect national and dying economic models. It is sad that the modern republican party is turning it's back on globalization, free trade, and sensible border policies.

I am confident I know more and have listened to more first hand accounts of what it is like actually living through economic revolutions like the one your proposing, no question.
