Tornadoes are weather phenomena. Their connection to climate change, if any, is speculative. Little red lubette appears to believe either that tornadoes are indicative of or that they constitute further proof of climate change. If the former, she is being misleading in treating a speculative connection as a fact; if the latter, she is talking nonsense.

Individual tornadoes are weather. Increasing trends in tornado occurrence and increasing trends in tornado intensity are climate. AOC is talking about increases in the probabilities of severe weather events (like tornadoes) predicted by climate models, thus climate. You on the other hand are talking nonsense.

DSA convention is this weekend in Atlanta. Will elect our political committee and set our priorities for the next two years. Some of us in KC wrote a resolution to make it a national priority to end cash bail and pretrial detention. Excited to see if it passes.
