You choose not to delineate between groups of people who oppose the Democratic establishment. That's disappointing for an academic, particularly a sociology professor. My thinking is that the Democratic party you're seemingly defending NEEDS me to be a racist, so they have an excuse to ignore my grievances with them. If only they put half the effort into actual justice as they do in advertising their partisan level social righteousness.

I don’t have much problem with “leftist” political positions. I do have a problem with poor tactics and how “leftists” react so ridiculously to criticisms of their poor tactics.

My criticism of MDMH is all about his anger. The problem with BKF was that his politics were rooted in his anger at the Dem and Pub establishments, the Clintons and Bush specifically. He was susceptible to latching onto the side who ditched the establishment first. MDMH could be the same. Maybe you too. You want to force everyone into this binary of extreme=good and establishment=bad.

If you believe that your theory is so clear, please explain how my political ideology leads to racism. Please break it down for me.
 
MLK literally said that white moderates protect white supremacy, so you choose to focus your criticism toward those who have an economic analysis similar to MLK, rather than criticize anyone protecting the status quo. It’s disappointing.

I wasn’t even thinking about BKF’s racial views. That’s unfair to you. That’s not what I meant at all. I’m sorry about that. I was thinking his shift to the right to fuel his anti-establishment fire.

Now to address MBH whitesplaining MLK. Go back and read the quote. By and large “white moderates” or suburbanites as you all define them don’t fall into that group he describes. The white moderates I know are very supportive of black activism even if they don’t quite understand it. You all are writing them off which I think is really poor tactics.
 
I'm not "whitesplaining" MLK. We just disagree on who falls into that group. People that ignore capitalism's role in creating and protecting white supremacy, that perpetually defend the very very very moderate (and bad) policies of Clinton and Obama, and that would rather vote for Kasich or Biden or Bloomberg over Bernie Sanders or an economic progressive, absolutely protect the status quo of white supremacy and massive inequality.
 
We disagree on who is receptive to your message and who you shouldn’t write off.

We also disagree on who is more tolerant of, and prone to, racism.

You confuse disagreement with liberal ideology with a demand for purity. Remember, we are a big tent org with democrats, social democrats, socialists, communists and anarchists. We are intentionally non-sectarian.

Point 2 just seems to be a way of protecting the status quo. "You just don't understand how things work."

I’ll take it as good that you may recognize it would be desirable for these things to not be accurate descriptors of you or your party.

What is your evidence that any of those stereotypes apply more to leftists than other ideologies? Any criticism of the democratic party is verboten, yet you claim we are purists or lack a desire to compromise. Why is it incumbent on us to compromise with those to our ideological right, when those same demands are not made to centrists to compromise to the ideological left?
