Did you believe that Hatch was simply going to pull the plug on Greek life, in one fell swoop? Can you imagine the damage that would do to social life at a small school like WFU? Can you imagine the backlash, from the alumni Greek fraternity and sorority/society members, that move would generate, including the effect on alumni giving? To pull-off banning Greek life, he would have to build a case, over a span of time, and there simply isn't any "evidence" to warrant a campus-wide, one-size-fits-all, banning of the entire Greek system at WFU. Additionally, there would have to be a social life plan, to fill-in that void, and WFU doesn't have one.

So, Option 1:
You're a University employee/shill who trolls the Boards to defend MSD; or
Option 2:
You're not in-tune with the actual state of on-campus Greek life and social life, the role and scope of the SLC, nor how the current/alumni Greeks feel about the direction that Greek life is heading at WFU.

Cool. So you agree that Hatch isn't going to eliminate Greek life in the year or two left before he retires?
 
PPL have been predicting the death of frats for 20 years. Never happens. While a good group may fall out for a few years, they always come back.

Let's not forget that most of the big donors (not just at WFU) are Greek.
 
DKE's were good guys, at least back when I was in school. Had a bid and chose another fraternity. Some of the DKE's have remained my best friends for 20 years. Too bad they have been booted. Sucks going back to campus and not having at least some consistency from when you were there. RIP SIG EP, RIP DKE
 
Fraternities are dead. Which is probably fine considering that all these 21st Century babies wanna do is vape and play on their phones anyway. Neither require social interaction.
