2020 Democratic Presidential Nominees

Who are you supporting these days, itc?

I’m pretty firmly on the Warren train at this point.

I’m begrudgingly going to vote Warren as of right now despite my previous adamance that I wouldn’t vote for someone born closer to 1900 than 2000. She’s a great candidate. And I’m realistic about Buttigieg’s chances. Same with Kamala.

Also firmly on the Warren train. Has the most thorough set of policies, is clearly all there mentally, and represents progressive positions that I value.

I was/am a Mayor Pete guy but I think he's got a better chance in the future. I'm going with Warren

Warren needs to take all of these much younger candidates and put them in prominent cabinet positions to build the bench for future elections. Harris for AG, Buttigeg for vp, Yang for commerce, etc. No more tired old John Kerry type appointments. Young future presidential candidates need to be in prominent positions because Warren her self is old.

The most encouraging thing I've heard about Warren lately is her reaching out to try and rebuild the DNC and revitalize the corpse that is Tom Perez and do downballot work too. She was assuring old party stalwarts she did the same thing during her last re-election campaign and that she'd do it again in 2020--she's good at fundraising and drumming up support that way, and wants the DNC to focus on GOTV in 2020 like they did not do in 2016.

Still, Bernie has more volunteers in Iowa than the rest of the candidates combined, and now he's leading in national polls (which don't really matter), New Hampshire, 2nd in Iowa, and keeps putting out great new plans. It's good for the party, not bad, if he runs a good campaign, no matter what the dead eyed rj's tell you.

The worst that can happen is Ice Town.

I'm not sure why RJ thinks the Republicans will paint Bernie as a socialist but wouldn't do the same to Warren.

Because Warren is a woman and above all else, Republicans respect women.

the Republicans already paint everyone not them a socialist. Hannity calls Biden a radical.

It's one thing to attack someone as a socialist when that person calls himself a socialist (and has for decades) versus someone who calls herself a capitalist. Of course, Trump and his goosestepping followers will call all Dems socialists, but it will stick much more with someone who calls himself one.

Warren is against the big banks. It'll stick just fine. I bet he'll even find a way to rhyme it with Pocahontas.

nah, I think Buttigeg should run for Senate in Indiana

She has received great coverage from Russia since she announced her campaign - RT included. Her supporters on social media appear to be predominantly moderates and/or isolationists/conservatives. She’s received well by a decent number of posters on the_donald as well.

She doesn’t seem to be outright courting it but I think it’s a large reason she’s just continued to skirt the Syria/Assad issue and never answered how or why she was invited to the country to visit him a few years back without notifying the US.

Knew the 2nd paragraph, which is why I haven't been a fan or followed her campaign - serious breach of protocol. Did not realize your 1st paragraph, thanks.
