2020 Democratic Presidential Nominees

Well, we’ll have to see, but preliminary estimates exist.

How will history judge President Trump?

At the midpoint of Donald Trump's first term, historians have struggled to detect the kind of virtues that offset his predecessors' vices: the infectious optimism of Reagan; the inspirational rhetoric of JFK; the legislative smarts of LBJ; or the governing pragmatism of Nixon.

So rather than being viewed as the reincarnation of Ronald Reagan or Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Trump gets cast as a modern-day James Buchanan, Franklin Pierce or William Harrison. Last year, a poll of nearly 200 political science scholars, which has routinely placed Republicans higher than Democrats, ranked him 44th out of the 44 men who have occupied the post (for those wondering why Trump is the 45th president, Grover Cleveland served twice).

Though the president has likened himself to Abraham Lincoln, who posterity has deemed to be greatest of all presidents, this survey judged him to be the worst of the worst. Even the conservative scholars, who identified themselves as Republicans, placed him 40th.

No shit, Sherlock.

And based on early estimates, it’s not hyperbole to speculate Trump will be ranked as one of, if not the, worst.

This has been evident to many, even conservative stalwarts, for a long time.

depends on who writes the history, with what purpose, for what audience, and when (Renaissance Humanism 101)
Yes, exactly, which is why the Renaissance is a bullshit, racist narrative of settler-colonial oppression.

Is the hyperbole that he was installed by Russia or that he’s the worst President ever. One of those is only slightly hyperbolic and the other is probably an understatement. Neither is ridiculous hyperbole.

If all Russia needs to do to install the president of their choice is to post a bunch of Bernie and Trump memes on Facebook, then America needs to get its shit together.

I mean, have you been to the mall lately ?

Well Chris Cuomo got ratioed hard this morning

Why would anyone with claims or aspirations of being a legit journalist refer to Jacob Wohl, at all, ever? He's just a twerp who, to his credit, has only mastered Twitter trolling.

There's no response that would satisfy this moronic shit. The sanction bills are all different with different contexts so the expectation to approve all them because "Russia did bad facebook stuff", is dumb. Some of them include unwise sanctions on other countries, some of them have hypocritical human rights conditions, some of them have conditions that are clearly driven by lobbyist interests to favor specific corporations in trade restrictions. You know, context and nuance.

It's only about sanctions against Russia. What possible justification can you have for not keeping sanctions on the country and totally corrupt, fascist billionaires?

You still haven't answered.

You cant just vote on part of the bill, its yay or nay on everything in the bill or resolution. Thats why measuring a senators "progressiveness" based on their party line voting history isnt completely accurate. A lot of Democrat proposed bills include regressive shit, generally conservative economic concessions.

There is a reason that politicians hide unpopular and polarizing proposal in seemingly innocuous, party line bills. It's why NC Republicans put anti-abortion laws in a "Motorcycle Safety" bill. In conclusion, there is more to "Russian Sanctions" votes than voting yes or no.
