Wife just said "I've got 99 problems and mitch is every one"

Sounds like Mitch is worried about he and his wife being investigated.

Would not miss him.

Whomever the KY GOP might appoint would likely be an idiot, but maybe not such a successfully wicked senator.

Not any different from his behavior towards Obama - block everything, no how matter how popular or constructive or needed, to try and make the evil Dem POTUS a one-termer.

It's the only objective Republicans have. There is no policy goal, just block the democrats from passing anything hoping to win back power and promote culture wars to turn out the base. And I'm a former Republican who voted for Romney, but the entire party is rotten and can't get better until they are completely wiped out of power for a decade or more.

The Republican party isn't moving past Trump and crazies until they are massively defeated in multiple elections to a point where the voter restriction laws and gerrymandering can't even save them. Though, with the structural advantages they have both nationally and at state levels, it's going to take 25 years or more for demographic changes to really overtake them.

The sadly entrenched self-serving preference of Republican leadership for reflexive, dishonest and destructive obstructionism over honesty, decency and effective governance is what pushed me out.

We’re in a global pandemic and the top Republican legislative priority is making sure trans girls can’t play sports.

I mean, infrastructure spending should be something that most can support. Work together, get some projects for your state or district. It can mostly be a good thing for many people in lots of places.

Same for healthcare reform, etc.

But no, Republican leaders prefer to pretend it’s gots to be a gd-damned socialist takeover whut must be STOPPED. Because they are self-serving assholes who’ve now Trumpified their deluded base to the point they are now themselves utterly feckless, or worse.

Democrats should run ads talking about their Senate agenda. Lead with Mitch’s quote. Then talk about all the good things they’re going to do. Then tell people to call their Senator and ask why they’re working with Mitch 100% to stop the Senate agenda.

Yea but like something, something civility.

no need for biden to have to bother to negiotiate with republicans if this is the stance. Just ask Joe Manchin what he needs and ram everything you can in with reconciliation.

sadly, i have to agree with this.

it is a damn shame that republicans are just unwilling to work to make things better in America. all they seem to be doing is putting up bills to limit voting and keeping trans kids out of sports. i honestly have no idea what else they are doing...

I was hoping that now that RJ was no longer on this board, we could dispense with fantasy-booking political advertisements.
