Bullshit Moscow Mitch Says

Good thinking. When it comes to questions about running a constitutional government, Barca obviously knows better than the founders. He's got the posts to prove it.

The founders also didn't allow women to vote and considered people with dark skin to be property so it's not like they were infallible.

The top five years of the use of cloture were ALL created by Mitch McConnell. He's the undefeated, undisputed king of obstructionism.

Yeah and apparently their opinion on guns should not change regardless of technology

they were right about the senators representing the states though

The Framers original intent was for state legislatures, not the voters, to choose each state's US Senators. That wasn't altered until the 17th Amendment was added in 1913 in the Progressive Era (yes, that terrible socialist word "progressive"). Do you think state legislatures should still be choosing US Senators? Cause that's what the Framers thought.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), in his latest move to seize power by dismantling the chamber’s centuries-old safeguards, was about to push through another vote to break another rule. But first he gave a speech blaming the other side.

“The Democratic leader started all of this,” McConnell proclaimed, his face blotchy red with anger.

Pointing at the Democratic leader, Charles E. Schumer (N.Y.), McConnell added: “He started this whole thing.”

If that weren’t preschoolish enough, the once-distinguished gentleman from Kentucky said a third time: “He started it! That was a sad day. This is a glad day.”

McConnell has brought Trump/Fox News level discourse to the Senate floor. He should be ashamed of himself. Instead he's laughing maniacally at the power he's amassed.

Are Schumer and the Democrats responding to this crap in any way? Or is Schumer just standing there staring and shaking his head sadly before giving a mildly angry rebuke?

Is McConnell trying to talk himself into nuking the filibuster?

Schumer published a response also on Politico, but obviously did not get the coverage McConnell’s article did
