Official Bowl Game Thread

Early word seems to be the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa. Thursday, Dec 20 at 8:00 at Raymond James. This is by far the best of the bad options we could end up with.
 
Joey Gigs seemed to be intimating Dallas was more likely than Tampa.

We could move up the bowl pecking order if someone wants us -- by virtue of a few teams not getting to 8 wins the only teams that must be picked before us are Clemson, cuse and State. There may be some rule about Pitt too since they made the ACCCG
 
So that would be either versus an AAC or Conference USA opponent?
 
Dallas technically would be against the Big Ten, but doesn't look like they'd have enough bowl eligible teams to fill that spot, even if Minnesota beats Wisconsin
 
With our ability to put up points, I would imagine potential opponents are hoping to draw someone else.
 
The extra time to get healthy, and especially the extra practice with our improving defense can’t be understated.
 
If VT beats Marshall and we're the last team off the board we'd be Birmingham bound against some rando team

So true.
If our team was healthy all year, I think we'd have 2-3 more wins.
