Would be great if everyone sent in really tough questions. Some ideas: 1. Why are you the worst defensive coach in the power 5? 2. How does always putting the blame on the players for your shortcomings as a head coach help them develop? 3. Do you call or text John Collins every day to thank him for what he has done for you?

The Danny Show??? That should be an hour of electrically charged, dynamic rhetoric. Can't wait.

If you had a radio show, I would respectfully and sincerely ask as to how you became such a miserable person and is there anything I could so to help. Within reason

If you go 0-16 (or 0-18 whatever) in the ACC, will you resign?

Define the word BLEAK.

Do Frenchmen and Canadians play basketball better than Americans? If yes, why?

Are Frenchmen weak around the basket when finishing? If yes, how is that possible with you the zen master big man coach leading them?

Our last coach had mental health issues and chastised fans. Like super famous coach Elrod, I would not trust Buzz-Disaster around my kids. On the contrary, you seem like a nice family guy, good role model, culture guy, but you are not able to win games as a head coach. Instead we face embarrassing losses. Do you ever consult with your coaching mentors on what that feels like? Oh, they don't lose to crap teams and get embarrassed at home by Western Carolina?

You have LOTS of NBA ties. Lots of parents remember your miracle 1988 run as a player. How has that NOT translated one bit into being a good coach, getting 4-5 star recruits, putting guys in the NBA (Collins was almost as lucky for WF as Tim Duncan) or generating any support and energy from life-long fans who now cannot recall when we play a game since the product (sans Hoard and Mucius) is unwatchable?

Thanks Danny. Tell Ron we said hello. And please tell Coach Clawson he deserves an extension/raise. He does deserve that. Earned it.

The problem is since Ron several years ago to shield [Redacted] from his critics made the radio shows quit taking phone calls and all questions are either e-mailed or tweets. Therefore, don't expect any critical questions asked. Of course if that's all Stan (no fault in this) has to choose from than there will be a lot of uncomfortable air time to fill. I'm sure however, there will be enough sunshiners from the Demon Deacons Sports Nation facebook group that will send in some questions Stan can take. You know things like "what is coach's favorite Holiday dish," you know the hard hitting stuff.

If you simply rolled the ball out on the court and let the players play a pickup style game without coaching, do you think they would perform better or worse?

Do you think Houston Baptist had better players or better coaching than your team (or both)?

In year 5 of your program, it's still incredibly difficult for fans to determine the offensive and defensive identities of your teams. Would you say you have them? Could you provide detail?

Ron Wellman has previously stated a need to return to "historical competitiveness". What does that mean to you? Do you think Wake has achieved that under your leadership relative to the history of the program?

Take a drink every time Manning says "absolutely" or "paint touches".

When Manning was hired, his lack of coaching experience was well known--in theory offset by potential recruiting success. What is unforgivable is that for the second hire in a row, Wellman completely missed the personality--Manning has an arrogant aloofness and has no meaningful relationship with the media or fan base that I can see.

A couple questions.

1. For five years we have been a "young" basketball team. At what point is that a failure of the coaching staff to develop and keep talent?

Follow up question

2. Wellman and yourself have stated that transfers are a part of college basketball, but we are experiencing player transfers and early departures at a rate over two times the normal college program. Why do talented players decide they no longer want to play for you, and what are you doing to address the issue?

This is the biggest issue. It's one thing for a coach to not get the full potential out of a team. There are very very few coaches who can absolutely maximize the talent on any given bench. The issue at Wake is that our staff actually takes the talent and causes it to perform worse than if it weren't coached at all. We lose to FAR too many teams that could never hope to recruit the players on our bench.

Is Jeff Goodman's report that Wake owes you $18 million if it fires you true?

If Roy Williams can admit he is doing a bad job coaching why can't you

Somebody is having trouble breaking up with Danny. Change is hard.

This thread is a nice therapeutic exercise but ever since the Buzz days every question is pre-screened so only softball and/or AD-approved questions get on air.

Rather the only time to ask truly difficult questions is during live press conferences after games but he just deflects and doesn't answer those questions most of the time anyways.

Coach Manning, you stated in your introductory press conference 4.5 years ago that your program was going to "hang your hat on defense". Ken Pom defensive statistics of your program since then document the exact opposite results year after year after year. Can you explain why your players never wear such "hats", and why their "hats" get consistently knocked to the ground and stomped on by powerhouses such as Georgia Southern and Houston Baptist?

That night Caturday and some other dude from the board called in and roasted Bz on his show while we were all live-posting about it was an all-time OGBoards moment. No more live questions after that one.

When will you and your boss stop murdering our basketball program?

I submitted a question very respectfully as to why in year 5 the program isn’t where it needs to be. Be real interesting to see if it gets read and the non response Manning gives.
