2016 Trump voters

Like I said before, take your case against Trump to court. Your odds of winning are about the same as Danny winning the NCAAT with this year's edition of the Deacs.

In the meantime, keep posting lubish rubbish. It looks to be your calling. Sad.

Solid work by the Boston Globe in 2016 predicting what a Trump presidency would look like. Only thing that’s missing is the Russia investigation.

Literally the only thing they got right on that was the trade wars, but the rest feels true so there’s that.

There haven’t been deportations?

Right. They missed “Trump separates thousands of immigrant kids from parents and locks them in cages.”

There have always been deportations, but no ice hasn’t tripled in size with curfews being put in place due to massive large scale rioting.

Danny, this isn't France. Is this France?

This wasn’t meant to be taken literally. For example, you can’t change libel laws. The law governing libel and defamation is common law resulting from years of Court interpretation of the 1st amendment. Trump doesn’t understand that because he’s not interested in learning anything. Pretty ironic his followers who supposedly love the constitution hate this fundamental protection.

This has been part of the most mind-blowing divide, for me at least. We've had appointed individuals, within this state, lose their jobs because of defending the constitution against attacks from the president.

IMO, democracy has jumped the shark once defending the constitution is considered partisan hackery.

“Defending the constitution” is just code for conservative.

Right. They missed “Trump separates thousands of immigrant kids from parents and locks them in cages briefly ramping up a policy pre-established by the Bush and Obama administrations, while leftist get outraged over pictures taken in 2014

FIFY.

He's spent two years undoing everything Obama's administration did, so he kind of owns it now.

There were similar policies, but Donald through Sessions implemented a zero tolerance policy for those entering illegally (so they prosecute basically everyone). In most instances, the Obama administration deferred prosecution.

The articles below offer some context on the differences between the Bush and Obama approaches to immigrants and Trump's Administration. The Business Insider article has a revealing quote about the differences between the practices in the 2014 pictures under Obama, and the 2018 Trump practices: "Though the [2018] photos are nearly identical to those from 2014, there is one key difference between them: the 2014 photos showed only children who arrived at the border unaccompanied. The 2018 photos also show families that have been separated from one another...That difference is significant — while unaccompanied children in 2014 knew what to expect when they arrived at the border and were taken to the holding facilities, the children who have been separated from their parents are often much younger, and had not expected to be taken away from their families."
