Football Team and Season Outlook for 2019

With regards to OL - what is view on Taleni Suhren, came in with very high expectations, but I rarely hear him mentioned.

On DL, what ever happened to Zander Zimmer?

Suhren played some in this past season. He will have the opportunity this Spring to make a jump and get into the rotation. He was well-regarded coming out of HS.

Seem to recall that Zimmer suffered an injury, but don't know the details.

I seem to remember Flowers having an offer from penn state after he committed to us.

Flowers had an offer from PSU for some time..Tennessee tried to come on strong late..

Flowers, the prospect, somewhat mirrors D.J. Taylors cousin who chose UT last season after a brief flirtation w/ Wake that included a visit.

Both prospects are WRs transitioning to TB Flowers effectively becoming a TB as a rising JR in HS. Great bloodlines with Priester

Yes, lost Zimmer on a medical. High motor kid with a good ceiling. Hard luck of football. Wish him well. Cool name.

Suhren has had his bumps and bruises. Have to hope for a strong off season with it in mind that many a WF OL are really looked to turn out as JR’s. At the least he will provide solid depth and fill the role of Nathan Gilliam as a utility guy you can plug at multiple positions

We end up somewhere between 9-3 and 5-7, depending on health, transfers, and likely improvements.

Definite W's: Elon, Rice
Likley W's: UNC, Louisville
Likely L's: Clemson

Everything else could go either way.

So we have 2 bye weeks next year? 10/5 and 10/26? That's really annoying.

14 week season; everyone has two byes next year. Great schedule for tailgating at least, and while UNC on Thurs sucks the only saving grace is it will not be a nooner and 109 degrees.

Very good chance at a 4-0 start. An 8-0 start is certainly possible. If we get to 4-0, Vegas should have us +4 or better in the next four games.

9-3 is a very strong possibility. 4-0, 3-1, and 2-2 in each set of four games should get us there.

Pretty upset about UNC on a Thursday night. But a Thursday game was expected somewhere.

Byes before UL and NCState I guess is okay. Wish it would have come after Clemson.

Overall, content with the schedule.

Another downside to UNC on Thursday...much of the national broadcast will involve slobber and Mack Brown's johnson.

BC game a big swing game as ever. Hopefully we take care of Utah State (losing a lot of personnel and their coach, but still have their stud QB) and the Heels

2-2 in the last 4 will be the toughest IMHO.
