Wake Forest Tennis 2019 - Men ACC Reg Season & Tourn Champs, NCAA & Indoor Runner Up

Bummed no TV for today's noon match against UCF at the site of this year's NCAA tournament site at the national tennis center in Orlando.

Agreed. UCF is a solid team. They're coached by John Roddick, who did good work at Oklahoma and is Andy's brother.

The Deacs will then play at #9 Florida, one of the two teams to beat Wake last year.

Deacs squeak by without Gojo. Wins by Petros, Bar, Melios and Banthia

The men’s tennis team is so clutch. On the rroad at a decent opponent, lose the doubles point, and play without one of your top players, and they still come back to win a third set to clinch the match.

The men win to move to 15-2 on the season. They play at #9 Florida on Wed (UF just beat #10 MS State 5-2), and then return home against Lville on Friday at 3 pm and UVA Sunday at 1 pm (to try to avenge one of our two losses). They'll also play Coastal Carolina Sunday at 5 pm.

The women win twice to move to 13-2 on the season. They play at Duke on Friday and then Syracuse at home Sunday at 10 am. They'll also play NC A&T Sunday at 4 pm.

If the weather holds up, there will be a ton of tennis at home this Sunday, March 17th, with the women at 10 am vs Cuse, men at 1 pm vs UVA, women at 4 pm vs A&T, and men at 5 pm vs Coastal.

It was just announced today that Petros is up for the top amateur athlete in the country. You can vote here, daily, without signing up https://aausports.wyng.com/AAUSullivanAwardSemifinalists In my opinion, no one is more deserving.

Didn't put up much of a fight at spots 3-6. Florida clinches 4-1 with other matches at 1 and 2 being played out. Where's Gojo? Hurts not having him.

He was playing a Challenger event in Canada this week.

He lost in it last night. Hopefully he'll play this weekend.

Tough loss. Great doubles point, but we were weak at 3-6 singles. Having Gojo back will help immensely, but it would be good to see more of a fight from some of the singles players (especially Sid, Melios, and Rezi).

Number 4 Texas fired head coach yesterday. Was involved in the college bribery scheme...allegedly accepted 100k$.

Huge weekend coming up. Should beat UL tomorrow, but Virginia at home on Sunday will be intense. Avoiding Carolina/Virginia until the ACC championship game seems important. UVA is legit again already.

The men just got a commitment from a very good German player, Henri Squire, who will start this fall.

Can I assume the loss at Florida was played outdoors? Looks like the weather will drive them indoors here.

Wake men dominate Louisville 4-0. The rest of the matches will go unfinished.

Women lost to Duke Friday beat Syracuse today.

Up to 15th. Would be nice for them to play at home in the first two rounds.
