KP - Report Duke Blue Devils - Tuesday ESPN 7 pm

Did not realize that this is Duke's first road game of the season. On January 8th. Won't matter, but geez. I wish we didn't suck... Would have been a nice opportunity with a decent team and a solid home crowd.

Instead, it'll be Cameron Indoor West w/ thousands of bandwagon Duke fans and a Wake team that will likely get rattled on their home court.

You're probably thinking about Miami, who was #2 in '12-'13 when Bz pulled off the late February upset.

Bz beat UNC and Duke in '13-'14, and was still (deservedly) shitcanned.

It's entirely possible that Duke will play in front of more Duke fans tonight than they will play in front of all season.

A guy a work asked for a ticket and I gave him an extra. Come to find out he gave it to a dook fan that is driving up from Myrtle Beach for the game. I'm sure he is going to be a real joy (along with the other 10k dook fans there).
 
Appears that you may have missed the 43 pt home loss to Duke in 2015. Guessing Duke needs to beat that tonight. There's also a 39 pt loss to BC in 2008 and a 37 pt loss to UNC in 2007.

Learn a lesson, don’t give ticket or sell ticket to someone unless they at least have Wake gear on, better yet give ticket to state or unc fan, they will pull for the deals against the blue dookies.

the 'A' on those lines stands for "Away" and the question was, what is our worst home loss in the Joel

I went back to find that season: Saturday January 12, 2008 BC 112 - WF 73.

Incredibly, BC sucked that year as they went 14-17 and 4-12 in the ACC. That was Dino's first ACC road game as head coach. Ouch.

That 2008 WF team had 3 future NBA players (Ish, Teague and JJ). That team also had LD, Harvey Hale, Jamie Skeen, Weaver, Gary Clark, and Board Fave Chas MacFarland. 17-13 (7-9 ACC) no post-season.

Hasn't Manning been an assistant to K on USA teams? (I believe that is correct.) If so, I expect that he will not try to grind WF to utter powder...which he could do if he chooses.

To further support that line of thinking, K probably loves having Danny as the WF coach. Not in his Duke's interest to embarrass WF. Then again, K may not be around much longer; so, he may not GAF.
 
If K felt that Duke's #1 ranking was being threatened, Wake would lose by...who knows? 40 or 50?

One AP writer hasn’t listed Duke in his top 25 this year because they haven’t played a true road game. But Duke hasn’t played a true road game other than in the mandatory ACC-Big 10 challenge game in many years. Why do you think Duke sucks most years in the NCAAT (they either win it about every 5-7 years or lose very early) and K wins 30 games per year? The most talented players and 20 games in Cameron.

This game does not count as a 'true road" game either. A true road game means that the home team has a legitimate chance to win.

Oh yeah. Like I jokingly posted before, if we started with the score the football team beat Duke by, 59-7, I think Duke would outscore us by at least 53 points. Now, they probably won't beat us that bad tonight, but not because they can't.
