Diamond Deac Danny Borrell (two-way pitcher/player for WF's ACC title teams in the late 1990s) just took the pitching coach job at Georgia Tech. After getting drafted by the Yankees and playing minor league ball for NYY, Borrell had worked his way up the Yankee's organizational ladder to be the Yankees' "pitching coordinator". According to the NY Post, Borrell's deal with GT is worth $1.5 million (for five years), which has to be a record in duration and value for an NCAA non-head baseball coaching position.
