Yeah that’s why they scramble to try and keep things that will impact people to a minimum. It’s actually a great experiment of why limited government is a huge massive failure.
 
this guy is bravely and anonymously calling out his colleagues, some of whom probably are trying to figure out how they're going to be paying their living expenses for the next few weeks (months?), while this guy is presumably fine. some of those not getting a paycheck right now include the Coast Guard, which, you know, actually does do border enforcement and intercepts the most drugs of any agency. but CG officers are currently in the process of organizing food banks for their enlisted cohorts just to make sure they can have food to feed their families.
 
also, let's name names. tell us which agencies aren't working that you've observed. who should be chopped first?
 
sorry...you lost me at "many federal agencies are now operating more effectively". that statement is BS and thus leaving the rest of his opinion as apocryphal.
 
This anonymous op-Ed really spoke to me. If we've learned anything during this shutdown it's that we don't really need a park service or a department of interior at large. Americans love and respect the beautiful places, animals, and valuable natural resources of our country and those things will really just take care of them selves.

yeah, TSA is in shambles right now. people are calling in sick left and right because they don't want to work without pay.
