See article about Missouri's penalties on ESPN. Unbelievable. Shocked Missouri doesn't specifically call out the complete and total blind eye to one institution while slapping another. NCAA even knows the pile of manure they have piled up as they even specifically call out the UNC case in their report to try and get ahead of the firestorm they have created for themselves:

""Among other differences, UNC stood by the courses and the grades it awarded student-athletes," the report said. "In support of that position, UNC asserted that although courses were created and graded by an office secretary, student-athletes completed their own work. Here, by contrast, Missouri acknowledged that the tutor completed student-athletes' work and, in most instances, this conduct violated its honor code."

What a bunch of hooey and time for other schools to ban together and take a stand against complete imbalance in treatment. So basically if you can somehow hush the key folks that did the actual work for students then you are ok???????

We can (and should) hammer the NCAA over their ruling in the UNC case, but the biggest joke is not their ruling, it's UNC's claim that the class work was "legit". It's possible that the NCAA brass hates UNC and its hypocrisy as much as the rest of us, and would love to have been able to nail the bastards.

I used to tell people "I hate UNC, but it's a good school." No longer. It isn't much, but it's all I've got.

it's almost like the NCAA cares more about fielding a marketable product
