CBS Flash Poll: 72% of Americans support Prez Trump’s immigration stance

No, the poll was 72% of those watching the State of the Union not of a poll of all Americans.
 
You do realize that not everyone in America was required to watch it, right? There just might have been a political lean in the people that decided to watch it.

I can't even believe I am responding to this like it is a serious post, but alas, here we are.
 
Viewers of the SOTU were disproportionally Republicans.

Per the full poll results in the link above, of the 584 adults interviewed the breakdown by party lines is below:

22% - Dems
42% - Pubs
35% - Ind

No doubt the sample size of 584 adults skewed towards 'pubs but that was never in dispute.

How does this CNN poll capture the total viewers of the SOTU much less prove the total viewers were "disproportionately Republicans"?? Because 245 people out of the 584 total in the CNN poll identified themselves as 'pubs?

What do you think polling and statistics are?

By using a sample size of the relevant audience, you are able to extrapolate the poll to the larger population if you sample correctly.

Party affiliation. The current breakdown is 25/39/34 R/I/D.

Many regular GOP voters identify as independent. So the number of GOP watchers is likely higher than indicated.
 
Hahaha... love the irony of someone with 38k posts on a message board calling out someone else as a "dork".

Happy to take the L when earned but nothing from the CNN poll supported RJ's "fact" that the total viewing audience was disproportionately Republican.

If he stated those participating in the CNN poll were disproportionately Republican, he would have been correct (for once).

How is this a difficult concept to grasp? Because it doesn't fit the Tunnels' Left narrative???
