Can we get a more accessible 'Mark Forum Read' button like on the scout boards?

Very good point. I have submitted our website to Google, and we have changed our meta description and keywords. We are going to take every measure to improve our SEO, but thanks for the heads up!
 
Also, can someone explain tags to me?

And can you give people a bad reputation, or is it only a positive thing?

Tags are just a way to show what you aer talking about in a post. They aren't really used seriously. You can have some comedic genius with them though.

Moderators can take away reputation, but registered users can only give rep.

Not exactly the same, but

Old Gold and Black Forums > OGBoards > The Pit

At the top pretty much serves the same purpose.
 
I know this has already been mentioned, but having the forum jump menu down at the bottom drives me nuts.
