2022 Atlanta Braves Season Thread: off season decisions loom

So living in Atlanta, Braves games are blacked out on MLB.tv and I have YouTubeTV, which dropped the RSNs. If you want to watch Braves games (or outside of Atlanta, want your RSN), your options seem to be uncut the cord or go with AT&T TV streaming, but that's $85/mo (for the plan that has the RSNs) and has less features, smaller DVR, etc. than YouTubeTV. I'm very grumpy about this. Anyone have any other ways I haven't thought about to get the RSNs (or just Braves games)?

I mean at $85/mo, I'm sure you can find a cheaper cable package that carries FSS.

also crackstreams has been good for me when wanting to watch PPV events & football games that I am unable to get.

I’m in the same boat. Really wish they would get a deal together.

I’m just using a VPN on mlb.tv and it worked fine today. I’m on the free trial but I think it’s $25 a month.

Also why on earth pitch to Segura there? Pain.

I’m a bit of a luddite - tell me more about how one uses a VPN.

I do it on my phone, so I have a VPN app that I use. In the app you can pick the region you’d like to be “in”. So to watch today’s game I picked Texas in the app. Then you go into mlb.tv, it checks and thinks you’re in Texas, and it lets you watch. My VPN is free and I have to watch ads to use it, but there’s also paid VPN services that you can use on your phone/laptop reliably.

What free VPN do you use? I need to see if I can fool YTTV into thinking I'm in my parents' "home region" once in a while.

The app is called Free VPN, you have to click through a certain amount of ads to earn VPN time, but you can skip each ad after like 5 seconds so it only takes like a minute to be able to watch a game

I use ExpressVPN - not free but they run deals fairly often, I signed up for $4/month. Servers everywhere, fast enough for HD streaming, not as easily detected as some of the free VPN's out there. Can also flip your location to Netherlands and get every UFC event. Definitely worth it so far, haven't run into a blackout it hasn't gotten around.

Socialist Democrats got All-Star game moved out of Atlanta----no more baseball for me ! COWARDS !

Probably can't help you with blackouts but I'll post my usual reminder that T-Mobile customers can get MLB.tv for free for a few more days. That plus a VPN may do it.

Braves stink, burn it down.

Jokes aside, bats are dead. First game of the nats series is postponed, series will begin tomorrow.

Can't beat a team with covid restrictions wow-------got a good start on 0-162

Bryse Wilson better be on his shit when he gets his chance at the fifth spot in the rotation.

Have there been some blackout restriction changes? Cant watch game on mlb.tv again? For some reason could watch the Strasburg start. In Raleigh.

Arod & whoever his partner is are unbearable thinking he somehow got the plate. Very very clear he didn’t. He’ll get back to philly without touching it.
