2022 Atlanta Braves Season Thread: off season decisions loom

The Boy and I are traveling down to Atlanta Friday to see the Angels series. Holding on to a tiny shred of hope that Trout may be activated for Saturday or Sunday’s game, but not optimistic. At least we’ll get to see Ohtani pitch. Interested to see how the Braves line up their rotation coming out of the break.

Ohtani 1 hits us for 6 innings with Charlie only giving up 2 hits then Mattie O goes 2 run yard in the 7th then 12 batters in the inning ends with Braves up 7-0. Ozuna just broke his homerless stretch with our 3rd of the night. 8-0 top of the 9th Btw, Mets lose 4-1 to Padres. 1.5.

He had three good starts in a row before this one. It's great if you can have an awesome number five pitcher but he seems adequate

He had some good results, but the last 2 were against the Nats and he walked 7 in 10.2 innings. Muller has been dealing at AAA, but has had walk issues in the majors.

He has the worst ERA and Whip among Starting Pitchers in the NL. He doesn’t technically have the worst WHIP among qualifying starters. He actually doesn’t qualify based on IP even though he hasn’t missed a start if that tells you how bad he has been.

Max is definitely tipping his move to the plate. Usually has one of the best pickoff moves in baseball. He allowed 2 SBs in one inning, 1 to a catcher. Cost us the lead. But with a poor pitching performance, some lucky bloops, and 0-3 with RISP, pretty fortunate to be tied. Phillies defense is ass.

You hang a slider after blowing 2 straight fastballs by an 8 hitter batting sub .200. That ball could have bounced on the plate and he was swinging. Unreal bad pitch.

2nd home run Minter has given up to a lefty… in his career. You read that right.
