ACC Tournament Seed Projection

Yes, Tuesday afternoon and evening sessions were sold as part of the tournament books (at wildly inflated prices, based on what they are going for on the secondary market), but all seats (other than the mid-court club level seats, I believe) will be general admission for Tuesday games.

The excitement is hard to contain. We are locked into the 12/13 game. Play either Miami (@VT Fri) or BC (NC State) even if we beat FSU.

Wake win and Miami loss gets Wake the 12 seed against Miami.
Any other combination of wins and losses among Miami, BC and Wake locks Wake into the 13 seed.

Most likely outcome is Wake loss and Miami loss giving Wake the 13 seed vs 12 seed Miami.

yes, and if Miami loses to VT tomorrow, then the winner of WF-Miami will play VT on Wednesday

WF OWNS Day 1 of the ACC tournament, as this will be WF's 6th appearance (out of 6). Only BC shares this distinction!

The ACC can rename day 1 "The BC-Wake Invitational."
 
So the bad news this year is that we suck, but that's hardly news
The good news this year, which seems different than any other year in the last 23 year is that we're playing our best basketball down the stretch. Too bad our best is still bottom 1/3rd of the ACC
 
Teams 13/14/15 shouldn't even be playing. Teams 5-8 should host a game Tuesday night on their home court and then those four winners advance to play seeds 1-4 starting Thursday at the tournament venue. The way it's set up now is so bad.
 
It's all about the money.

I don't mind the set up really. Provides the league's 10 and 11 seeds a chance to pad their resume with an additional win if they're close to the bubble. Provides the 8 and 9 a win against another bubble team in most years and also gives every team a nominal shot at claiming the auto bid while also rewarding the top 4 and 8 for their regular season performances.

The ACC will never keep teams out of the tournament since the conference is beholden to the mantra that the tournament champion is the conference champion.
