Pelosi isn't doing the basic task House Democrats were elected to do. We knew they weren't going to be able to pass laws, but they could at least impeach and investigate.

At this point Magruder's American Government and other high-school civics textbooks really need to put out an updated edition in which they explain to students how our system of checks and balances doesn't really exist anymore, and the Executive Branch can now just ignore anything the other two branches try to do to check it. We're watching the collapse of American political traditions and norms happen before our eyes - and plenty of people are cheering it on. Scary stuff.
 
The House refusing to enforce their subpoenas makes the whole process futile.
