Figured it out, admittedly I missed that it said "notable players" before but he's ahead of dudes like Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins who were hella good college players:

By that metric Doral would have been the best returning player in the ACC and the average of Crawford’s sophomore and junior year would rate him higher than Coby White.

Regardless the player has transitioned seamlessly to being a very good NBA player, whilst the coach is inept as it gets without him
