The women just finished a 10-20 (1-15) season. It's way past time to hire a good coach and get the program on track.

Let's name some potential names.

I'm sorry it has not worked out for Coach Hoover - she is an alumna and fellow Deac. And I know they've had more than their share of injuries. But this is year seven, and it is fair to question the direction of the program.

Maybe this can be university job offer Maya Smart requires.

Shouldn't be that hard to put together a list of coaches looking to commit career suicide.

Move Danny over to the women's team to avoid the buyout. If Wellman were smart, he would have worded Danny's contract to just say "basketball coach" and leave out the "men's" part of it.

Why would you want to punish the women's team?

You could have posted this at any time in the last 50 years. Wake Forest women's basketball has been historically uncompetitive.

Lots of injuries again this year. Seems a toss up as if a move will be made. Hoover has recruited well but we don’t have too much to show for it. Still just one NCAAT appearance ever.

Seems like there are a lot of injuries every year...is there a problem with the training or strength and conditioning staff?

Seems like this is a consistent issue. Given that no one holds the program to any expectations, I wonder if effort/desire could be a issue too. If you're not going to win, it's much easier to stay on the sideline with your injury and enjoy your paid in full education

Easy decision to do nothing and giver her one more year. AD shows compassion for the injuries, and the health , or lack of, of the program has no immediate financial impact on the university. Also one less thing to worry about while hiring a new men’s coach.

By the end of this season they could only do drills in practice b/c they didn’t have enough healthy bodies for two teams.

She has a decent recruiting class coming next year. One 4* and three 3*, including Hoard's little sister.

Agreed and I’m not sure. It seems like we’ve had roughly 10 torn ACLs in the last six or seven years.
