The Mueller Report is Delivered

The football spiking by Trump supporters before seeing the report (or reading anything about the prior 37 indictments) is fantastic to watch right now.

This always felt like the UNC case where facts and common sense tell you they are guilty, but they are going to get off on some b.s. technicality.

Also interesting that we haven’t heard a word from dear leader yet today when he’s been “vindicated”. Definitely his style.

Whether the Report says Trump colluded or not, it's laughable to claim that the Report "clears" Trump and his administration. To date, there have been 37 indictments (including much of Trump's 2016 campaign team), 7 guilty pleas, 200+ criminal charges, and 100+ contacts shown between Trump campaign and administration officials and Russia-linked operatives. If conservatives want to brag about that, by all means let them. Also, there are other courts (such as SDNY) that are still investigating, and the House is just starting their investigations. No matter what conservatives say, these investigations aren't going to stop, and they've already proven to be productive in showing just how corrupt Trump's administration is. He and his administration are The Swamp, and that's not going to change, no matter what Mueller's Report says, whenever (or if) it's shown to the public.

That's because it doesn't matter what the report actually says. It could say "Beyond any reasonable doubt, Donald Trump was only elected POTUS because he colluded with the Russian government to influence the election in his favor. Further evidence shows that to repay this debt, he is acting under orders from the Kremlin that advance the interests of Russia to the detriment of the United States." Yet his supporters would downplay it as politically motivated, sour grapes.

He would be impeached immediately

Don’t be an idiot

LOL. Trump owns the GOP now, body and soul. There's no way the great majority of Congressional Republicans would vote to impeach, even if the Mueller Report says there was collusion. They are terrified of their own base turning on them, and given that the base would never accept any critical findings of the Mueller Report, that means that Congressional Republicans would stick with him. This isn't the 1970s and Watergate. The Senate would never get to 67 votes to remove him from office. The only way that the GOP will turn on Trump is if there's a national disaster (like another Great Depression) that erodes his base to the point that it's politically safe for them to turn on him. The Mueller Report was never going to change that, which is why impeachment/removal was never a realistic option.

Even in Watergate, Republicans didn’t move until the tapes. Republicans have gotten a lot less reasonable since then and there is a conservative echo system set up to defend them.

You are crazy. He’d be impeached immediately

I’ve posted this before

It’s time you read it (try not to mouth the words while doing so) and INTERNALIZE

YOU SHOULD BE HUMILIATED AND ANGRY

YOU WERE DUPED BUDDY

It is right and appropriate that those few voices on the left who’ve been sharply critical of Russiagate from the beginning are now taking some time to gloat at and mock its peddlers with increasing scorn. The centrists who chose to spend more than two years forcing everyone’s energy into this blatant psyop which escalated a cold war against a nuclear superpower were wrong, and the leftists who objected to it were right. Trump’s term is more than halfway over, and Russiagaters chose to suck all the oxygen out of the room for this brainless, fruitless, worthless endeavor instead of allowing space for progressive reform and for criticism of Trump’s actual pernicious policies from the left. And they did it on purpose.

Mock the Russiagaters. Mock them ruthlessly, and never, ever let them forget the horrible thing that they did. Never stop making fun of them and reminding them how stupid and crazy they acted during this humiliating period of American history. And never stop using it as a weapon against them. They were wrong, so they should not be leading the way on what passes for America’s political left today. Skepticism was the only appropriate response to Russiagate in a post-Iraq invasion world, and those on the left who made that appropriate response should be treated with infinitely more respect and deference than those who did not.

They were wrong, we were right, and now even Nancy Pelosi is all but admitting it. Never let them forget it.

I don't remember who it was - maybe Roger Ailes -who bragged that if Fox News had been around during Watergate, Nixon would never have resigned from office, and would never have been in real danger of impeachment/removal from office. Sadly, that's probably true.

IF THERE WERE EVIDENCE THAT TRUMP CONSPIRED WITH RUSSIA TO STEAL THE ELECTION, TRUMP WOULD BE TOAST

to argue otherwise is simply to deflect from what should be the collective shame of all the idiots who fell for it

You're defending Trump, but I'm crazy? LOL. As I just said, I never thought Trump was going to be impeached, so you're barking up the wrong tree. Again, moonz, if you and your fellow conservatives want to defend 37 indictments, 7 guilty pleas, 200+ criminal charges, and 100+ connections between Russian operatives and Trump campaign and administration officials, then go for it. Just don't expect anyone else to take you seriously. The only people who are "crazy" in this fiasco are the people who put Trump and his minions into office and who, like you, continue to support and defend him. You own him, be proud!

No need to use CAPITAL LETTERS, moonz. If you honestly think the GOP would turn on Trump because of the Mueller Report (which you yourself have trashed on numerous occasions), then you're the one who is nuts. Trump IS the GOP now - and yet you seriously think they would dump him because of this "insider" report? LOL.

So Rjk junior, if all that’s true, why did mueller discover no evidence of collusion and there are no sealed indictments

You’re a fool who believes fools

I’m not a conservative

Lol

Not by a long shot

So, you're not a conservative who constantly defends Trump and attacks his critics here 24/7? Could have fooled me. Do you do it just for the fun, or because you have nothing better to do? It's a shame that you don't like Trump but waste so much time here defending him and attacking anyone who criticizes him. It's almost as if you're not sincere when you claim you're not a conservative Trump supporter, but that's true of a good many Trump supporters I know. You didn't answer my points about all of the other things Mueller found in Trump's administration, and all of the other charges. Are you proud of those things, moonz? In a more normal time those charges alone would have ruined other presidents, and you know full well that if a Mueller-type report had found that Obama's administration had the same level of corruption, Congressional Republicans and Fox News would be screaming for impeachment, with or without collusion. But strangely, you seem to think that Mueller's Report lets Trump off the hook, even though you supposedly don't support him. Hmm...
