Official 2019 MLB Regular Season Thread - Trade Deadline Wednesday

Mariners offense can't stop, won't stop

(will probably stop)

Yankees dropping 2 of the 3 versus the O's...
Astros dropping 3 of 4 versus the Rays...
Red Sox dropping 3 of 4 versus the Mariners...

Braves only team without a win.

With the early season schedule, NL east could see considerable separation between teams by the end of April.

Another Dodgers' fan was hospitalized after being beaten in the parking lot. He's on life support. This seems to be happening at least every year at Chavez Ravine.

As much money as the team makes, more lights and security seems like a very, very small cost.

Tim Beckham just named AL Player of the Week. Batted .435 with 8 runs scored, 2 doubles, 3 home runs, six RBI and four walks in first 6 games.

This is what the kids refer to as "raking". AL MVP FRONT RUNNER.

Nice to see Urias get a good start in before the Dodgers move him back to the bullpen.

Just saw that Lucas Giolito took a no-hitter into the 7th inning, after walking the first guy on four pitches. Hopefully he's putting stuff together.

Harper as a Phillie on his first visit back to DC. Could be interesting for him facing Max Scherzer.

Phils fans filling right field in Nats park, chanting we got Harper is everything.

They said it was $149 for ticket, all the beer you could drink on the way to DC, a tailgate at the park and all the beer you could drink on the way back to Philly.

Great deal especially if you like beer/

And totally worth it for the big Phillies win and Harper having a great night at the plate.

Really fun game to attend. "We got Harper" chant was a funny counter to the boos. Nats fans are bitter at Harper when they should be bitter at the Lerner's for never offering a serious contract for him to stay.

Yeah, I don't get the Harper hate last night. Applaud him / standing O in his first at bat - there will be plenty of time to boo him the next 13 years. And by the way, the dude took an offer that was worth $80M more - and our offer was so back loaded that the headline numbers overstate the deal's present value.

Personally I'm glad we're not paying him 13/$330, but if you think he's worth it, channel your hate towards our owners.

Harper is an asshole. I would never cheer for him either.

I am really surprised that the Phils' 4-0 start is the first time they have done that since 1915. It doesn't seem that unusual.
