2019 NBA Draft Thread: Hoard playing for Blazers in Summer League

how did solomon hill get such a ridiculous contract

Celtics, Hawks, T-Wolves and Bulls are all trying to trade with the Pels for the 4th pick in 1st round. Apparently, all are targeting Darius Garland, the Vandy guard who injured his knee last fall, but looks healthy in workouts.

Didn't the Hawks just trade Doncic to get Trae Young? It would be moronic for them to pick another PG this highly. If the Hawks can't get Barrett, they should either stay where they are or trade #10 and #17 to move to #5-7 to get Hunter or Culver.

Other than Zach Levine, what do the Bulls have to trade as neither Carter nor Lauri M are going anywhere?

Why would the Hawks be looking for a 6'2" Garland when they already have a 6'2" Trae Young ?

Never underestimate NBA scouts' and GMs' ability to hype up and overrate guys who they've never seen actually play the game of basketball.

Few people are talking about Julius Randle. He could make a big splash next year.

Few people are talking about any of the FAs besides Kawhi and Kyrie right now. FA signing season hasn't happened yet.

If the Bulls enter a trade, my guess is something like what Dallas gave up last year -- this year's first and a future first, and maybe some contract cap maneuvering.

Young bigs should be untouchable and can't see them moving Porter. Lavine makes too much money to be a trade piece. Otherwise, Bull as pretty #assetless

Of course he did. He's going to get double that.

Well that's why people aren't "talking" about him yet.

They will after the draft. Mostly players who could be traded with a pick are being talked about on the cusp of the draft. Then, afterwards, the FA discussion will go full throttle.

Of the healthy unrestricted free agents, I'd put Randle up there with Harris near the Top 5.

Which is why the Hawks could want to get the #4 and trade down to the Bulls at #7 draft Culver or Hunter and get another likely lottery pick and some other asset.

If the want to do that, I definitely goad the Cavs into a trade because they will definitely suck the next two years.

The Hawks could gobble up Solomon Hill’s contract for one year like they’re doing with Crabbe’s. They probably won’t try to attract a big time UFA.

effectively a three team trade where the Hawks end up at #7, Bulls end up at #4, and New Orleans gets #8 and #10.

don't think the Bulls are willing to part with the components to make that work
