Netflix hulu Amazon prime.....your done. I like tv much more now. Some of the best shows out there are on those platforms.

Which one of those services gets you HBO?

2 currently - living room and master bedroom. Debating 2 more - 1 under the covered portion of the deck and 1 in the spare bedroom I’ll use as a gym. No cable - DirecTV Now, Netflix and Amazon Prime. I wouldn’t do DirecTV Now currently because they have severely limited the channels and increased the price, but I’m grandfathered in under the original lineup, so it’s still a solid deal.

$250 a month?!? I have Uverse with faster internet than I'll ever need, sports package, and HBO/Showtime and I pay like $128. $250 seems insane.

It’s actually $234. We have 4 cable boxes and 1 has DVR, plus sports package and movie channels, in addition to the basics. Internet is aight...gets the job done for what we do. Porn

I pay $0 a month for my sports package.

Most of the best content being made for TV is on one of these streaming services. When we had cable, we had Netflix and Prime anyway, so we were paying for those services regardless. Throw in Hulu annd you can watch any of the network shows.

I have three. I bought a new larger one last year (upgraded my old 37 inch to a 55 inch). I put the old one in my finished room in my basement and have it on when I'm down there tying flies for fishing. I also just bought one for my bedroom. I don't have cable but stream through YouTube TV and have roku's for each. My cable company (Cox) wants me to come back but their 12 month price is higher than YouTube TV, is only guaranteed for 12 months, and would require that I have three cable boxes if I went back so fuck that.

I have 5. Living room, master bedroom, 2 in man cave/game room, and kids' play room

Three. One in the living room, one in the guest bedroom downstairs (we also move this one outside to the patio for ballgames, etc. since we have a wireless DirecTV box for it) and the old 50" plasma that used to be the living room TV got moved to our bedroom. Only one that really ever gets used is the living room TV. Bedroom TV is on some mornings with the news playing in the background while we're getting ready and every once in a while we will finish watching a late football game or something like that upstairs.

I've wanted to cut the cord for years. I think I even started the "cut the cord" thread in this forum about 4 years ago, but I've still never found an acceptable overall solution. Either streaming packages don't have all the sports you can easily get with cable/DirecTV/Dish, or they just technically don't cut it for me. I tried DirecTV now in order to get the free AppleTV 4K unit, but it still won't pass surround sound through for shows. You can get some on-demand content in surround, but when streaming it is stereo only. That is an issue on a lot of streaming services, along with limited resolution, so I just still pay DirecTV for now. We are at about 150 a month for DirecTV, 4K HDR DVR setup for whole home with one wireless box and HBO.

we have one in the living room. i have never liked having one in my bedroom.

i though about putting the old one (i replaced and couldn't give away (sell)) in the work out room...but now you see how often i use that room. :)

TV's are obsolete. My kids just watch streaming TV on laptops, which we can monitor as they use my wife's accounts. We have one in our bedroom and a nice one in the living room, but we only use the one in the bedroom to watch local morning news before leaving for work. I'd have given that one away (it is the old living room TV) but Goodwill doesn't take TVs anymore. So we hooked it up in our room.

Only place I thought about putting another one is on the covered patio outside for football season. But I'd rarely use it.

We have two but the one in the guest room never gets used. Not sure it's been turned on since I got everything set-up.

Also, we stream with Hulu Live (+ HBO add-on for GoT season), Netflix, and Prime TV. Don't miss cable at all, but also not sure it saves us any money, even though we would have Netflix and Prime TV regardless. That said, the setup is much more convenient since I travel for work and am not beholden to shitty hotel channel options.

4 tvs. We use xfinity and pay $175/month for internet + tv, with 3 wireless boxes and DVR.

3- one in the bedroom, one in the living room, and the theater room. All have DirecTV and AppleTV, and the theater has a UHD disc player as well.
