2019 NFL Season Thread Year 100. Superbowl LIV Winner: Kansas City Chiefs

It’s incredible that refs in all leagues, not just the nfl, can be so bad at their job with no repercussions.

Feel like the auto replay rule should be scoring plays/turnovers and ones that an overturn would result in score/TO. Wouldn’t be hard to identify these plays.

Also fuck the pats.

Agree. Some refs will just let a potential turnover play out, even if it’s likely to not stand, because they know they can always go to replay afterwards to confirm. Others will just go with their initial judgement, and not be willing to let thing play out.

Pats will still get a bye, which means the Chiefs will still lose in Foxborough in January.

Brutal loss for the Seahawks and a huge win for the 49ers. It's just awful that one of those teams is going to be forced to play Dallas on the road just because Dallas coasted to an 8-8 record in a division that's pure ass.

Who cares? Dallas sucks and isn't beating anyone, home or away. [Unless they fire Garrett now and hire Rivera, in which case they go to the Super Bowl.] It isn't like the NFC West hasn't turned out its share of shitty divisional winners over the past 30 years.

Seems the only way the eagles and foles can have success is together. They separate and impending doom follows both.

Eagles with the OT win over Giants with a TD on the first possession. Eagles looked like a different team in the second half.

Who will the Eagles have for receivers next week? Dortch's agent should be on the phone to Eagles GM.

Foles got paid and Eagles couldn't afford to pay both Wentz and Foles. So Foles is in FL.

Eagles cut Jordan Matthews and Mack Hollins over the last few weeks leading up to this game. Apparently Josh McCown was preparing to enter the game as a WR. That tells you all you need to know about Philly's gameplanning abilities.

They were too busy filming the Bengals sideline in Cleveland that day.

I find this interesting given the Pats' prior transgressions. That said, the question to me is just how much can you learn from taping a sideline. How much playcalling or other communicating is done by hand signals these days, and what else can you learn by looking at a sideline? Both the offense and defense have a guy with the green dot communicating with the sidelines, and the coaches cover their faces as they're calling in plays. I was watching the a.m. sports shows today, and while they talked about how suspicious this is, none of them were speculating on exactly how much you could learn by engaging in this kind of taping.
