NFL coaching carousel finished.

Booger replacing Witten in the booth on MNF. Yuck.

Booger is fine. He wasn't properly used in that weird sideline/color role.

He says a lot of dumb stuff. I would've given Louis Riddick a chance. He did a really good job on draft coverage. Or a complete wild card like Pat McAfee.

Eli Apple is a FA after the Saints declined to pick up his 5th year option for around $14M.

Booger is not that good, but I think he's at least going to get better. Witten is just uninteresting.

Glad for no Witten but wanted no McFarland either.

Bad news for Duke Ejifor. He tore an achilles tendon and will be out for the season.

How is this even possible?

Also, the Jets writer for the Athletic says Dortch is a virtual lock to make the Jets 53-man roster unless he just disappears in pads. Said he made one or two WOW plays every day at summer camp. He would likely make the Jets as a receiver, but his versatility and ability to return punts and/or kicks makes him a lock ..

Don't care about his size or his 40 time, Dortch can play.

That's really good news.

none of the Rams three on ESPN's projected 53-man roster, but not really surprising

Hopefully, some Deacs can make a practice squad if they don't make the 53 man roster.

Practice squads are now up to 10 players, and the minimum practice squad salary is now $8K a week.

Also, all the Deacs in training camps get a $1,150 per week per diem.

Not bad Summer gig with a potential to earn more and to make contacts.

elsewhere, Wilber and Lee (Oakland), Hanyes (Seattle), Kevin Johnson (Buffalo), and Looney (Cowboys) look to be safe

and of course Bates

Bohanon still a free agent, Duke on IR with Houston for the year
