Why millennials are broke and miserable

Once upon a time this was called "keeping up with the Joneses." This phrase meant having a lifestyle as lavish as the most lavish of all the people living in your neighborhood.

Social media has now expanded this group to all the connections on social media. And people put very redacted versions of their lives onto their social media. You don't see the days of going to work etc. Just the fun stuff, parties, vacations etc. Tough to keep up when all you see are the mountain tops and not the valleys.
 
I don't think millennials are broke and miserable. I think they're a lot happier than their divorced and impotent parents.
