Sadly, he'll be remembered for his error in the World Series. Buckner was a professional hitter finishing his career with over 2700 hits (only 65 players in baseball history had more).

Too young to die from that; guy took a lifetime of shit for one play despite being one great MLB player.

I saw him at Cubs spring training just two years ago and he seemed fine. Charging like $30 for autographs.
