Totally Unofficial 2019/2020 Premier League Thread (NWT)

Accoding to whoscored he was Benfica's 12th best player last season. He is bad at offside awareness, holding onto the ball and passing.

Liverpool paired with Ajax from the B pot. I’ll take that. ManU gets PSG, City gets Porto and Chelsea gets Sevilla.

Feels like all PL sides should be pretty heavily favored to advance except Manchester United, Group H will likely come down to the two Man U/Leipzig games.

Fairly balanced groups. Don't see any real groups of death. E and F are maybe a little light.

For a minute there ESPN had the fake crowd noise dial in the Liverpool-Arsenal league cup match turned up to "champions league semi-final".

Brewster to Sheffield for £23.5M. He should fit right into a team with 0 Premier League goals in 3 matches.

The amount of money Liverpool gets for their shitty and/or unproven youngsters and squad players should be a crime. Its unreal and honestly it feels like some sort of FFP money laundering.

(in British pounds)

Jordan Ibe - 15M
Kevin Stewart - 8M (who?)
Danny Ward -12.5M
Solanke - 19M
Hoover - 13M
Brewster - 23.5M

I mean WTF?

sweeeeeeeet

According to OptaJaoa he also averaged a goal or assist every 77 minutes. The best goal involvement per minute ratio among all players with 300+ minutes of action (in the Primeria Liga). So not all bad.

Jordan Ibe - 15M - sucks
Kevin Stewart - 8M - who
Danny Ward -12.5M - backup GK
Solanke - 19M - can't even score in the championship
Hoover - 13M - has never played
Brewster - 23.5M - has sucked when he played real 1st team mins

I mean WTF? And that doesn't include Benteke or Countinho for a combined 165M. Why would anyone buy from them, you're going to get rinsed.

Them and Real Madrid sell guys for so much money and if Everton isn’t interested Barcelona has to pay players to leave. It’s infuriating how poorly run Barcelona is

Such a bummer having to watch Werner wasted out wide and Jorginho knocking the ball sideways five yards forty times a minute and Kante shooting from distance and Havertz needing to drop back super deep to get the ball and utterly joyless possession all around. Somehow this Chelsea team has been less fun than last year’s.

So how does VAR not review the foul before the PK there?

And lol at Tammy A pitching a fit about not getting the spot kick.
