How to change automatically subscribing to threads?

I think the new Tapatalk automatically subscribes me to any thread I post on. I used to only subscribe to 5-6 threads, but now I'm subscribed to 87 threads. Is there any way to change it? I can unsubscribe, but it just subscribes me again.

Click the “Me” tab on the bottom of the home screen. Then click “Settings” then “Auto Follow.” Then uncheck everything
