After the impeachment hearing, Clinton’s approval was 73%.
Since the release of the redacted version of the Mueller Report, support for impeachment of Trump has already risen to a near majority, 45 percent, with 42 percent opposed, according to the latest Ipsos-Reuters poll. That phenomenon never occurred during the Clinton impeachment, not once. On the contrary, in the Clinton case there was never any increase at any point in support for impeachment, which remained opposed by a large and solid majority of about two-thirds or more. Clinton began the impeachment process at 66 percent approval and ended the impeachment process at 66 percent approval.
By contrast, Nixon began 1973 as a president reelected with an overwhelming majority and winning 49 states. He stood at 68 percent approval. Two weeks before his second inauguration, Watergate burglars pled guilty to conspiracy and other crimes, which soon triggered congressional inquiries into Watergate. By May, when the Senate Watergate hearings began, Nixon’s standing in public opinion began to erode, a decline accelerated at each stage by his stonewalling of Congress and the courts. Public support for impeachment of Nixon, however, did not reach the level at which it already stands for Trump until near May 1974, a full year after the Senate Watergate hearings. In short, Trump now stands in public opinion where Nixon did after Senate hearings, after John Dean and others testified, after the Nixon tapes were exposed.
...
In Nixon’s case the charges of impeachment described the most serious to that point in American history ever brought against a president: subversion of democracy, bribery, and obstruction of justice. Forty administration officials, campaign advisers and close associates of Nixon involved in Watergate were indicted or convicted.
In Clinton’s case the charges of impeachment were transparently partisan in origin, twisted and insubstantial, and consistently rejected by the vast majority of the public. Not a single White House official or close associate involved in these events was indicted—not one.
In Trump’s case over 800 former federal prosecutors stated that if he were not a sitting president he would be indicted for obstruction of justice on multiple felony charges. Already seven Trump White House officials, campaign advisers and close associates have been indicted or convicted. His personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, who has been leading the public defense of the president, is directly implicated by name in the Mueller Report for potential involvement in witness tampering.
I don't think Biden is the only one who can win, but I think he has the best chance to win. By the way, your obsession with me is cute. I mean I get it, I'm successful witty and smart.ChrisL is your dad??
This should probably go on the crazy page, but this is populating around eastern NC right now on social media:
President Trump was not my choice in the beginning. I wanted Cruz. I did vote for President Trump in the end because Hillary Clinton could not be allowed to win...regardless. Since then, I have watched a man be relentlessly pummeled on every side. His family has been slandered and even spat on. He has removed the curtain and exposed the media, the liberal/socialist agenda, and even the milk-toast cowards in his own party. He has fought for life. He has fought for the Judeo Christian ethics this nation was built upon. He has fought for Israel.
I believe he loves himself. He’s definitely a Trump supporter. Of that, I have no doubt. BUT, I can honestly say that I believe there is something President Trump loves more than President Trump...he loves the United States of America.
God used many “unChristian” leaders in the Scripture to accomplish great works for Him. God uses whomever He wants. It’s His prerogative.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t know President Trump’s salvation status. It’s not my call. I will say, though, that as far as tangible defense and offense goes in the battle for righteousness...he has been a powerful, positive difference maker. I give him kudos for that.
He cursed last night in Greenville. Twice he took God’s name and attached profanity to it. I don’t condone it. God doesn’t condone it.
You know who else did the same thing? Peter...a disciple in Jesus’ inner circle. Not only did Peter curse...he denied Jesus too.
Peter repented. God forgave. Peter left that place and preached a sermon under which over 3,000 were converted to Christ.
My suggestion: Love on our President right now. Most would break under the pressure he’s under. I know I probably would. Matter-of-fact, I can personally recall a few instances where I said regrettable things when weary...when hurt.
Give Him room for repentance in regards to his inappropriate language. Thank him and applaud him when he gets it right. If the Holy Spirit is in him...the Holy Spirit will do His job.
Christian, don’t brutalize him in an effort to “Christianize” him. It doesn’t work that way.
He has enough enemies. Truth be known, his enemies are YOUR enemies too. Pray for him and ask the same Holy Spirit that will oversee him to oversee us as well. We’re in this together...aren’t we?

It's not about playing chess at all. On top of having no chance to convict him in the Senate and him being able to say he "exonerated" and it was a "witch hunt", the public has a short memory. The last impression is the most important one.
If the House builds their investigations throughout the winter and spring, people will pay attention. If they start bringing in people closer to Trump in later, Trump will continue to lose his shit. The more it piles up. The crazier he's likely to get.
Start talking about prison for his cronies and him after the election. Make him lose it.
The #1 through #1000 reason for this is to get out of office. He has no restraint. Keep pissing him off.
Perp walk him out of the WH.

LOL milk toast
this cannot be a real thing real people are sharing (i know it is, but it makes me sad)
When I started talking about Hillary Clinton, the veterans who saw her 24 hours before started screaming, “Lock her up! Lock her up! Lock her up.” They also screamed that, as you know, during the speech I made. The big speech.
And I said, “Don’t do that.” Now, I didn’t do that for any reason. I really — I didn’t like it. And they stopped. Not one reporter said that I said that. They all said — they started screaming “Lock her up! Lock her up.” I said, “Don’t do that.”
:wtf:
