2019-20 College Basketball Thread

When I saw the highlight this a.m., it reminded me of the end of the Auburn/UVA game where the Auburn guy tugged Jerome a little, and he double dribbled but it wasn't called.
Here, the Duke guy grabbed the SFA guy, which prompted him to double dribble, and it wasn't called.

I thought he was fouled too, was not surprised refs didn't call it but they probably shit themselves when they realized if actually fucked Duke. Also wondered if he doubled, I couldn't tell if Duke player got his hand on the ball and knocked it loose.

If they don't suffer injury/attrition Dayton is going to be a factor this year. They have a lottery pick and an experienced nine-man rotation that plays hard and plays together. Grant will be a hot commodity this off-season. Grant may be hard to pry from Dayton because he is an alum, and they have a really solid following (always have -- that's why Dayton hosts the First Four - great basketball town; hoop is the flagship program there), and they will pay more than most A-10 schools to try to keep him. FWIW, Grant's top assistant is Anthony Solomon who played at UVA, worked as an assistant at Clemson and Notre Dame.

Just realized that clip doesn’t show the full play.

You do realize that if your clip did show the entire play, you would see that SFA got away with a walk that would have taken theball away from them and given it to Duke for another shot at winning the game?

When the SFA player gets the ball in the lane near the baseline. He is on his belly and rolls over to make the pass out to the FT line. That basketball fans is a travel all the time, all day & every day. You cannot turn over with the basketball on the floor. But he does and gets away with it, player takes it and dribbles length of the floor for the win!

Braxton Key of UVa has surgery on his wrist and is out indef. 2nd leading scorer with 10.3 points & leader in rebounds at 8.3 & steals at 1.3.

Agreed that is a walk. But it’s also a walk every single time a player dives onto a loose ball

Anthony grant is a very good coach as well. People at Alabama are delusional to run him out.

I live in Dayton. This is 100% true. The atmosphere in that arena 20 minutes before gametime is outstanding. The students pack the student section, the band is constantly playing, the place is raucous well before the game begins.

Big difference between U Dayton and Wake Forest....Dayton takes great care of their flagship program...it is loved. Wake Forest, on the other hand, has treated their flagship program by throwing heaps of steaming shit all over it then letting it sit there and rot. Wellman and Hatch....dumassessssssss.

Barring a team exploding, no one deserves to be under 12-1 to win the national championship.

I’m glad you were able to bring discussion of last night’s Duke loss back to UVA
UVA is the dude's second team. No big surprise that he would think of a similar situation involving them. And, even if it wasn't, it would still be an alright discussion starter as a comparison of how elite teams are treated by refs.

You however, are certainly living up to your username. You do you.

Juwan Howard looks like he might be a decent coach.

And we’re still stuck with Manning.

Penny’s squad hung 55 on State in the first half.

Stackhouse is 5-1 at Vandy.

The problem isn’t former NBA players who already have money. It’s Manning.

Exactly. For all of the dumb talk around here about how it’s impossible for former NBA players to be hungry enough to coach, there seem to be guys that are doing well.
