2019-20 College Basketball Thread

Provide an example of another in season transfer of a player leading that team in minutes at the time of his transfer. BTW, semester is not over for another two weeks.

Gives him more time to study for exams. January, February, or March would be much stranger times to transfer.

James Akinjo and Josh LeBlanc, G’town’s 2nd and 5th leading scorers (Akinjo also leads in minutes and assists) are transferring. Guess the loss to UNCG was too much to take.

Really strange timing

Timing isn't so strange. The fact that Akinjo is transferring at all is strange. Starter, second leading scorer. Why leave?

Akinjo stuff is strange, for sure. Can’t wait to hear more details.

I remember we recruited him pretty hard. I think he was a spring (late) verbal with a number of suitors.

Sounds like they were basically shown the door by Ewing, which explains the odd timing and unique circumstances.

Sexual misconduct allegations at G’town.

ESPN shows Purdue is favored by 3 over UVA for tomorrow's B1G ACC challenge?

UVa's 2nd leading scorer Braxton Key out and their offense has been complete doo-doo this year even with him. Losing 3 NBA level scorers hurts.

Also, did some on here think we could do better than Mack? His team is holding #4 Michigan to 5 points at 7 min to go in the 1st half.

No, we demanded a Mack hire.... and got nowhere.

So sad that we all know what's best for the program and those who are paid to know DO NOT!

Syracuse blows.

There are quite a few crappy ACC teams

Yet, unlike football, quite a few good ones too.

How in the fuck is that a foul on MSU? Dookie ref in Michigan. WOW!!

Yeah, we're gonna lose the Challenge again - this time because the bottom half of the league is terrible. We're winning the high profile games and losing the also ran games. Turns out VT might have provided some help.

Missouri lost to #313 Charleston Southern last night by 8. Mizzou was a 26 point favorite. Charleston Southern had lost to #329 NC A&T by 14 and to a school named Southern Utah by 35. To give an idea of how rancid Charleston Southern is, WF under Manning and [] never lost to a team ranked so low.

"Hold my beer!"
