Donald Impeachment

I’ll give Roberts 100% the benefit of the doubt that he’s a fair and impartial legal mind. It won’t matter, because McConnell, one old man from the state of Kentucky, controls the entire United States Senate.

The founders, brilliant as they may have been, couldn’t fathom a scenario where an entire party would march in such lockstep.

Once again the Junebug’s precious Constitution demonstrates how much of a failure it is

You mean a document created by a bunch of slave-owning politicians in the late 1700s with the goal of consolidating their own power wouldn't hold up in 2019?

One of the analysts on MSNBC yesterday said the Chief Justice's role is not as important as he thinks it is.

During the Clinton impeachment, Rehnquist asked a senator how he turns his mic on and off. The response was, "You don't."

Fair to say Republicans are cheating because they've only won the popular vote 1 time since 1992, and it was an incumbent W in 2004. They know the majority of America will continue to disagree with them and they will do anything to rig the system to keep their "Christian" values, make abortion illegal, cut taxes for the wealthy, deregulate every industry, and all their other bad policy stances. The current GOP is really a bunch of religious extremists who believe in worshipping the rich and think government is the main antagonist of capitalism.

Sure they did. They were incredibly concerned about factionalism. The concern runs all through the Federalist Papers.

Why are people surprised when a political process carried out by politicians becomes political?

Yeah, to be fair though, given what has been masquerading as politics the last 3 years, I can understand why they're having a tough time with this.

They’re having tough time with the spin but they abandoned reason and values years ago.

But do they have to take the oath if Mitch doesn’t say they have to take it?
