Clemson Game Time - 3:30 ABC

we must lead the nation in points given up going into the locker room at half.
 
Greene will be fine, but he is getting his 1st game experience at death valley against an elite college defense.

Not that the end result would be a win, but it would be nice to go into this game with our actual weapons.
 
Hate it for the defense. This type of game might still be too big for Jamie this year. Gotta give the kids chances to help you. Very surprised we haven't mixed it up and had the out as the choice off the RPO.
 
This game is the reason Newman needs to come back next year. Missing his weapons, but ... Hopefully we can play better in the second half.
 
Lots of mistakes. But great teams often force mistakes. Need to stay healthy as possible and beat the hell out of Duke.
 
Greene looks good, just needs to get stronger. The Clemson corner manhandled him on the interception.
 
Yeah Greene got worked on that play. Unsure why he is the one we targeted that drive. Would prefer AT Perry for those throws.

Under threw the pass by 10 yards. How is that Green’s fault? You expect him to be Surratt on his first target down the field? Clawson doesn’t pass until the last 34 seconds of the half, Greene catches 2 and then gets a shit pass and you attack him? You suck, dude.
 
Really surprised Clawson picked this time to go for it before the half. Now I’m pissed this will likely keep him ultra conservative going forward.

Not attacking, Greene simply got worked by that corner. Doesn’t mean Greene won’t be a good player. He just got worked.
 
Last 6 quarters of football, Clemson has outscored us 94-6.
 
Clawson abandoning the run the clock strategy cost us two late scores there. Had a chance to keep it respectable-looking, at least.

Nothing to do about it, though. We just aren’t in Clemson’s class, and aren’t going to be as long as Dabo is there.
 
If the pass isn’t behind Greene, he has the DB beaten. He had to come back for it and yes, he isn’t Surratt yet in fighting for a bad pass. Surratt was on the scout team at this point in his career. In his redshirt sophomore season, hopefully Greene will make that play.
 
Clemson is able to cover our receivers man to man without difficulty. Probably double up on Hinton when necessary. That leaves 6 or 7 in the box to stop the run and pressure Newman. No Sage or Washington has crippled the offense.

The D line has played well but the loss of Strnad and Masterson has allowed Etienne to rumble if he gets through line.

Wake may have more depth than in the past but it is insufficient to step up against the likes of Clemson. Fourteen Clemson points in the final minute of the first half turn Wake's strong defensive response to an early punch in the mouth into a rout.
