Taggart just got canned and starts the Coaching Carousel early

I can't believe that some of you people have been running down Taggart and FSU all season and now you act shocked when they fire him.

Anyone who thinks/thought Clawson could be a candidate for FSU should watch his press conference today. He was not at all complimentary of what FSU did to Taggart.

Money talks but cash screams.
Whomever they target has their administration by the balls.
He'd leave in 3 seconds with the right deal.

USC hires Cincy's Mike Bohn as its new AD. Bohn will lead the search for the new USC Football Coach.

Also, there are betting lines on who will fill the FSU vacancy. Current favorite is Iowa State coach Matt Campbell. Campbell is solid. Would be a great hire IMO.

How about Fickell?

I'm sure Fickell will be on the list at USC given his connections to the AD. USC would prefer a bigger name, but Fickell has built a good program at Cincy.

Scored zero points against tOSU while being their best opponent. Then jacked up tOSU's SOS by not losing to a bunch of junk G5 teams.

At least they didn't lose to Illinois like tOSU's other best opponent.

Biff,

Why does the SEC even participate in the BCS championship? It sounds like they don't even play football in any other region of the country; so, why not just stop at the SEC Championship and let the rest of the country (essentially the 2nd division) crown their silly little champion separate and apart from the great SEC. Seems obvious that no other schools merit any consideration of being on the same tier as the lords of the Southland.

We should also ask when that bush league that fancies itself the "National Football League" is going to stop pretending that it's rinky dink "Superbowl" is in any way remotely equal to God's Own (Trademark) SEC Championship?

Dude... You are becoming painful with this stuff.

As an aside... Saw today that Clemson would be favored by 7 over Georgia on a neutral field.

You would think that Clemson whipping the pride and joy of the SEC last year would have cut down some of this, but apparently not.

I thought Bob Stoops was a done deal. When is that press conference again, stoneville?

FSU is so broke. The athletic department is operating in the red. Last year the lost $3.6m. They don’t have money for a big name. They don’t have money period. They just decided that Taggart was a sunk cost and pulled the trigger. UF rules the state. FSU doesn’t have the same fan base as UF and definitely not the same money.

When I read about Hardaway I immediately thought that he would make a better coach than Manning.

The SEC hasn't participated in the BCS since the end ofthe 2013 season.

Football is good for other schools to engage with alumni and recruit a new fanbase (students).

Also, upsets occasionally happen, keeping cold parts of the country engaged.
