ATP: Legal advice - underage drinking related

I got a ticket for possession of liquor in a beer only zone at Groves on senior fifth in 2000 (I was 21 so no underage ticket much to the dismay of ALE). I went to court, got PTI and did some community service. Never got it expunged. A year later I was interviewing with the state police in SC so I came clean. After sweating through a nervous telling of the story, the lieutenant looked at me dead in the eye a d said very seriously, "I would be more concerned about you if you were at a college football game and not drinking." That was the official beginning of a 17 year career in law enforcement.

Considering a couple of the peeps I know who have gone through FBI/Justice/CIA/NSA-type processes, I think you’d be fine there, too.
