Nice excuse to go out and get drunk at a bar on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. You might even find it on a TV somewhere up against Clemson/USC, UGA/Ga Tech, and tOSU/Michigan, which all start at noon and will monopolize every TV.

Cuse turned in a shockingly dominating win last weekend against Duke. Crowd won't be a factor; the upstate NY fans have turned their interest to hoop. If L'ville beats Cuse this weekend, Cuse will have already played themselves out of a bowl (unless they can get a 5-7 reprieve bid).

The twist of the knife in this scenario is that Duke has the higher APR, so in the case they're both 5-7, Duke will get a bid before the team that beat it 49-6.

Still no word on the Duke/Wake start? nvm just saw its 7:30 booo

WF with a chance to get its 9th regular season win for the 2nd time in history next Saturday

Good stuff.
It’s still possible.

Huge game next week regardless. Chance for 9 wins 5 conf wins tie the ville for second in the Atlantic. And it's against the team that we should beat and handle.

still can’t imagine us getting ranked above uva even in that scenario

Agree that the VT game was essentially an OB play-in game for WF.

Even if Clemson drills UVA/VT (and I don't think VT would get totally crushed), hard to see a scenario where WF gets ranked above or picked before the winner of the Coastal. FWIW, the most likely scenario is that VT beats UVA, and actually gets ranked reasonably high heading into the ACCCG (like in the teens). Even if Clemson wins something like 31-10 (VT's defense will show up and play hard), WF isn't going to jump Tech in the final rankings, and VT will be considered the better TV draw and would be expected to bring more fans to Miami in what would be Bud Foster's last game as a VT coach.

In the unlikely event that UVA beats VT, certainly possible that Clemson would drop 50+ on UVA (UVA's secondary is depleted: last 3 games: 27 to Liberty, 28 to GT; 31 to UNC), but even if that happened, guessing that the OB would take UVA, in what would be their first trip to the OB ever, over WF.

I don’t think Wake is gonna be ranked again by the CFP so yeah I don’t think we get the nod.

Hell, based on the last two weeks, UVA maybe shut out by VT.

This. Thank goodness we got them when we had still had Surratt or it could have been another shutout. If Perkins doesn't have a career game Friday, the Hokies are going to win big.
